On Being Blog • What Would You Be Willing to Sacrifice? by Trent...

We speak in photographic language as "capturing" an image. In theological language, we speak of "receiving" an image, "receiving" a gift.

In the Didache, the meaning for the word "sacrifice," as used in early Eucharistic liturgies, means "to celebrate, to party."

What are we willing to sacrifice? Well, tell me what we are willing to celebrate?

Someone with a grasp of Turkish could translate "Haciz" for us,
yet the visual elements of this image translate the word for us all.

My Teacher Said.... An Artist's Response for us All

On the back of this PostSecret postcard, the author wrote,
"I wonder if she remembers?"
To all artists- to everyone - scribbling is a way of seeing what lies inside us.
